Just thought I would post an example, Not too bad for hand held and not too bad for tricky lighting conditions. This camera I believe can be relied on to do its job. Ricoh has done a good job here. enjoy martyn.

If anyone is interested in my take on the GR in low light difficult shooting. For fun I took it to our village bonfire night firework display. HANDHELD I ramped the iso to 1600 and subject tracked, (fun watching it go berserk at the lights) shot RAW and colour matched with DxO FilmPack 4 to reduce grain also. I like shooting abstract, just as well as this is NOT the way to shoot fireworks; but !!

Just my input as a new member. Tcs are not only for the 300mm plus users. I have success with using it on a DA 55 f1.4 and DA 15 f4 when I need that extra reach. Never use it on Sigma 35 f1.4 Art though, why spoil perfection !
The Tamron 1.4 Pz AF MC4 is at the moment as good as you can get , I was lucky to pick one up from SRS. But if Pentax (sorry Ricoh) would produce an up to date no-faults 1.4TC for future lenses you could count me in.
If you do have a TC try it on other lenses, It works on primes of all sizes with excellent results. A good way to cut down on lens buying and carrying.
The more people want to use one the more pressure on Ricoh.
Oh, I do use it on DA 300f4 but I find it softens and hunts so manual focus is better. Do not own zooms.
