Guys!

Get with the picture and buy a Mac. With a Unix base, running on an Intel chipset, many things are now possible.

ie. The latest Mac OSX.5 will have an emulator called "Parallels" built into the OS - and with parallels you can run MULTIPLE OSs.

I have an Intel iMac, with Parallels running one of either SuSe or XP Pro in a window on my Mac desktop.

As an aside, Lightroom is perhaps the best one-stop editor and archive app I've used - A Mac with Lightroom is unbeatable. I hear that Aperture is good too.

Nice pics.

I can't say I really agree with the comments on the website - I just took at a look at the gallery of Galerie-produced websites and there is nothing that is notably better. I'd say that 'Galerie' sites look somewhat amateur-ish. That said, simplicity is often best ...

Most of my post-processing in done simply in Apple's iPhoto. Ultimately I guess I'm fairly picky with the shots I publish!!

The reflection shot was shot with the 50-200/4-5.6 - I'm told it's a very good lens for the price.

Some early trial shots with my *istDL2 here;

(ignore the ones with DSCN in their descriptors - shot with Nikon 8800)

... also check out the istDL2 test page.

Needless to say I'm very very pleased with my DSLR choice.

I'll start the thread with 2 cards that work with my *ist DL2.

NB. The numbers in brackets after the card relate to the number of images stored in RAW and JPEG-HI at full resolution (6MP), ie (46/166)

Here are my contributions;

Sandisk 512mb Ultra II (46/166)
Sandisk 2Gb Extreme III (186/689)

(Edited the 2Gb figures after checking again - thought I'd formatted the card, but apparently not! - thanks to those who pointed out my ineptitude!!)

Not that this answers your question, but I've just got a 2Gb Sandisk Extreme III that works fine with my *ist DL2.

Incidentally, I'll start a thread for users to post specific card details and compatibility.
