4 GB sd card with Pentax DS. Is it supported?

Does the latest firmware for the Pentax DS support 4 GB SD cards? A supplier here in Houston has 133x 4GB cards for $99 US, but it is only a good price if it is supported.

Not sure about that, someone will know. However, are you sure you want to "put all your eggs in one basket"? Using a 4GB card is fine until it becomes corrupted or fails in some other way, and then a very large number of pictures could be lost.

I tend to use lots of smaller cards for this reason, and they are all really cheap enough, aren't they?

I know an earlier firmware release added support for "cards greater than 1 GB" in size.

Ditto John's comments about putting all your eggs in one basket, though!

I just spoke with someone in Penta, Japan, and they said it is not supported, but should be in the next revision. Still no confirmed date for rtelease.

Not that this answers your question, but I've just got a 2Gb Sandisk Extreme III that works fine with my *ist DL2.

Incidentally, I'll start a thread for users to post specific card details and compatibility.
