I was struck by how different this is compared to most gig photos; Its sharp, its got the 'correct' colours and its not in grainy mono. While it lacks some of the drama of the afore mentioned images it has quality and wonderful saturation. I'm now looking forward to your images from the Tour de Yorkshire festivities. David

A wonderful study - unusual with the wall cutting across the frame, but it works! And it works for me too. I love it when photographers break the rules and get away with it. David

Nice and tasteful compo....If raining use an umbrella:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: Why an umbrella? Is the Optio not weather resistant? I'm sure the cake will be eaten before it comes to any harm. Charming shot. David

Galatea again, its currently one of the busiest preserved steam locos, at least up here in the north. Hard to believe this was reconstructed from scrap over many years of dedicated work. Lovely shot. David

A very contemporary take on traditional street photography. The processing treatment is edgy while the placing of the figure in the environment is classical 'street.' David

Cracking shot. Love the colours on the stonework against the dark sky. The foreground reeds make it for me. I agree. This is a lovely shot and the foreground reeds really are the icing on the cake. David
