Yes, I've been to the Great Central a couple of times and there's plenty to see. I got some half decent shots there last summer. Half way down the line there's a station with a little cafe which is handy.
Its doable for me in a day providing I get an early start.

They should slap preservation orders on railway buildings like this, they have historical character. It looks good in black and white Peter.

The steam on the mainline season is now up and running for 2011 and I'm still waiting for the first one to appear in the North East. This is a good example John. BTW don't black fives look good in colour?

Lovely period piece Andrew. I got a photo of the sister engine to this one when I was at Whitby for the Goths on Saturday. It was in the engine shed of the North Yorkshire Moors railway.
