Love the architecture and I really like the way you've captured this Axel. David

I wish I had some of the sunlight that you got, David. You must have been sat on the wall for your shot? I was wasn't sitting on the wall, I was just behind it. And yes that evening the light was just about the best I've had for a steam train shot. A woman standing next to me got her almost identical picture into one of the glossy railway magazines. David

I liked your earlier black and white version of this image Peter but I prefer this colour picture. You said on your earlier caption this was a location you've come to know well. Co-incidentally just about a year ago I posted a similar picture in this gallery of this same engine in exactly that location. One of these days we'll meet up at Ais Gill. David

Another artistic landscape from your camera. I like the way you've arranged the scene to show the tractor wheel tracks in a perfect curve in just the right position in the frame. David

Beautifully photographed Nigel. I like the back lit steam. I wanted to go over to the Settle and Carlisle Railway yesterday to grab a shot of this train coming over Ais Gill summit but my management committee overuled me. She found other more urgent tasks to do. Next Wednesday maybe. David

Wonderful piece of modern architecture expertly framed by you Axel. David

That''s an amazing image Ken. David

Another cracker from our eye-in-the-sky Pentax man. David

Painterly is the word that came to my mind too. I'm beginning to like HDR more and more as photographers like you get better at it. I'll have to try it for myself. David

I don't generally get excited about pet photos but this one is something special. David
