Pity about the low cloud but it makes an atmospheric shot. Is the Shard still under construction or is it completed now? David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

You will find coming out of auto mode will give you more satisfaction as you get greater control over your photography. This image is very appealing with its good use of colour and clean sharp lines. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

Nice piece of street photography. It shows three guys who seem full of character and an interesting environment. Plus it looks very cold. David

I'm sure it would look good in black and white but those colours are gorgeous. David

What a lovely shot and the sepia toning works very well. Pity you snipped the snout ever so slightly. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

The overall green really sets the seal on this fine image. Its full of atmosphere - and I don't just mean from the sewage outfall pipe. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

Love it Nazih. The tyre tracks and the old cart really make this a stand out image. David PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout

Actually it's a view from North wales across the Menai Straits, David! That's a relief, I was getting frustrated trying to work out where there is a wide estuary such as this off the Somerset coast, that is other than the Bristol Channel which this obviously is not. Potential in the composition definitely, feels a bit harsh in noise/contrast areas though? :D At first I thought itas very noisy too but when I viewed it large I got the impression the grittyness was because the tide was out and that is sand and mud rather than water. Either way its a very atmospheric shot Andrew. I take it this was somewhere in your bit of England called Somerset. David PP ...
