All the above comments resonate with me too and I'm impressed by the colour, dramatic at the top working down to dimly suggested and understated saturation at the base. David

A lovely landscape with a powerful foreground featuring footprints and texture in the pure white snow, an interesting sky and the added interest of human figures middle distance. David.

This is a terrific period piece Andrew, I just love the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways. David

An excellent black and white landscape with great tones and clever composition. David

Lovely image. Is it a reflection or is it really ICM? David

This is a stunning image. A worthy winner of Photo of the Week. David

Two Class Fives and 12 coaches. A heavy load but they would play with this even on some of the heavy gradients on this trip Peter Only one thing better than one 5MT and that's two. Nice shot indeed. . Only one thing better than two Class Fives - a Class Five and a B1 working in tandem as I saw at Carlisle a couple of years ago. David

Nice one Stan. I'd really like to know what shutter speed you used to achieve this. The EXIF, as so often happens, is just a little erratic. David

I'm not on flickr so I'll content myself to enjoying this excellent photo on here. David

Top drawer landscape with the autumn colours handled very artistically rendered. The ethereal scene is given a solid context by the firm lines of the boats. David
