Not the greatest of shots, high ISO, jittering hands from to much coffee, but it does show the beauty of the animal.
He was returned to the garden later.

My wife has been there a few times for work.
It`s quite safe as long as you act sensibly;
Do not go out after dark, Always lock car doors and keep windows closed. If going into the country do not go alone and keep to main roads. Do not flash valuables when out. Always carry cameras, bags etc in front of you, with the strap around your neck if poss.
When in a restaurant put your bag on the floor under the table, thieves will run through a restaurant grabbing bags off tables and chairs.

My wife tells me it is a beautiful country with friendly people, well worth a visit. The traffic in towns can be a nightmare, but the country side is amazing. Be prepared to eat lots of meat, the coffee is fantastic, my wife used to bring bags of coffee beans home, best i`ve ever tasted.

1)There are a few specks of dust visble in the viewfinder, they are not intrusive but I have tried and failed to get rid of them, I suspect they may be behind the focus screen, but do not want to remove it. IQ is of course not affected.

2)The lettering on the OK button is worn.
3)There are some light scratches on the back screen, also what looks like some dust underneath the bottom right corner.

Cute kids and cats are usually things i loathe.
I do however like the conversion on these, No 2 particularly is an excellent photo.

Thank you Woodworm, that particular shot was taken from a jeep as we where heading out to try and find a cheetah, totally unexpected.

I have a BT Hub v2, it connects wirelessly to 2 computers both on windows 7, both with wireless cards. the firewall is bitdefender on both of them. Both computers report port scans frequently, although it seems to have gone quiet in the last 20 minutes.

With a lens like the Tamron 70-300 one can induce PF whenever required, providing the light is bright enough. Typical example would be a tree branch against a blue sky. Have not heard of this with a DA* 200 or 300 lens, even my DA 55-300 exhibits much less tendency to produce pf.

The scenario above can be duplicated with most wide angle zoom lenses, pf is usually always less with a prime.

For me it has to be the lens.

I seem to be getting the consistently a few minutes apart whenever I am online?
I thought these where hackers probing for weaknesses, if so there are an awfull lot of hackers, or some incredibly persistent ones.

Ah,
I see woodworm has answered this point.
Cheers Gents.

Thanks Chris, nice shots and good advice; which goes contrary to my instincts, but after thinking about it I can see your point.

My Firewall keeps telling me it has "blocked a port scan"
Should I be worried?
