If i use my 2 x teleconvertor on my KR i have to use manual focus . The camera asks me to set focal length on switch on (like for a normal manual focus lens) what focal length should i select ?

Well after all that it didn't fit . She assumed it was Pentax fit as it was stamped SA/PKR on the rear lens cap . Shame it was split new and unused

I can't comment on the value/quality of this lens, but it does appear to be a good price.

If you're concerned about the shop, it does exist and is on the corner of Wesley Rd/Station Rd about a mile from the M1, but to get to it you'd need to leave at J31 then find your way through A/B roads.

I live about a mile away from this shop. It is a reputable retailer that mainly sells astronomical telescopes, binoculars etc. but also has a decent stock of camera gear too. I would be happy to check this out 'in the flesh' so to speak, but it would be Saturday before I could visit the shop in person.

Hope this helps.

David
Sorry David i was merely using the link as an example of the lens . The one i'm after is advertised privately .
Apologies for giving everyone the wrong end of the stick

[quote:3496ace15f="milamber"]This is the last new one sold on Ebay. I bid on it, but it went for more than the last couple had done so thought it a bit high at £84 plus postage. You can pick up a new one on Ebay for £75 from time to time if you are prepared to wait. buy it at £75 if you want one, but don't do it thinking you will make a profit on Ebay, because that isn't likely, after fees etc.

No if i buy it i'll be using it
