I've taken the plunge and gone for the K-01 with 40mm pancake.
The lens doubles up on focal lengths I have but it will 'make' the 01 I think, and by all accounts is an exceptional lens and great value.

Back to the OP, I'm sure I'll get a Q soon enough. I keep hearing good stuff - mainly that they're fun!

How are people finding staring at a screen instead of a viewfinder?
My eyesight is getting a bit long so I never use the LV on the K5. Does this mean I would hate the dedicated Live View on these cameras?

Thanks for taking the time to write this Seb. And great shot!
I'm toying with getting one of these; not sure what the advantage of the Q10 is over the Q.
But then there's the WG or the K01 as pocketable solutions.... decisions.
It's quality and spontaneity I'm after, all from one pocket!
But then the Q has that tantalising prospect of bolting on a 300mm

I've tried this a few times over the years, but I can't remember any successes. In my Experience it is just too slow.
One thing I thought it might be good at is catching the eye of some insect popping into focus as I lean into the shot, but invariably I'm better than the camera at recognising this point (that's not saying much!)
However, this thread has inspired me to try harder!

Of course, but it's pricey if you haven't actually got a job to do.

Not sure if this has been covered, but 99percent of our gear's life is spent on the shelf.
I have studio gear (used a lot actually) and macro stuff.
I would like to try some prime lenses, especially the DA*300
Occasionally, it would help to borrow an extra flash or body.
Any thoughts on this idea folks? Not sure how insurance would work?
Bit of a minefield and I guess getting together regularly would be a start. I have tried meeting up before, but it proved difficult agreeing times.

Thanks Barrie,
I was worried it would be those sort of numbers.
I feel some DIY coming on.
