Photoshop just doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather get the effects the old fashioned way, with filters or by adjusting exposure (such as using long exposures at night to bring out more detail than the dedicated auto mode would show). The only thing I tend to do is bump the brightness up a touch on photos I plan to print, and I can do that in-camera.

I'll be after a Auto-Takumar of the right vintage for my H2. Not many of those on ebay either.

K.
There was an early Auto Tak 55mm f2 on there when I last looked, in pretty rough condition but supposedly working ok.

I'm keeping an eye out for a cheap 55mm f1.8 SMC Tak for my ES II, I refuse to pay £40 for a lens to fit to a camera I only paid £10 for!

I did manage to bag the later K series 55mm f1.8 for £8.50 last year, nothing wrong with it apart from a few specks of dust. The bargains are out there even if they're fewer...

If you use a flash with a slave function (or some sort of module to trigger the flash) then you won't need to connect it to the camera.

I've come across 645-fit A series lenses a few times. I know you can buy an adapter for the K mount but does this preserve the "A" functionality?

Not that I have any plans to buy that lens, I could get a rather nice car for about as much!

I can't think of anything else that it could be - I've tried everything I can think of.

Depending on the shape of the quick release you might be able to carve a bit of wood to fit, then drill that and mount a hot shoe to it. It'll be a bit tedious as you'll need to take a bit off, check it, take a bit more off, and so on but you should be able to make something that fits well enough.

Just wondering if I've missed something out here!

I'm trying to print ten photos per month with my Polaroid PoGo printer, these will go into a Moleskine album with the idea of making an album of 2010. For obvious reasons I'm keen to include the date on the photos, but I've hit a snag. Despite having set the camera to use the format dd/mm/yyyy the photos are ending up with the date in format yyyy/mm/dd! Is there another option that I need to adjust to make it change over?

Hmm, maybe I won't bother then!

The FA J series in general don't seem well regarded, although I've never been sure if that's down to people not liking the plastic construction.

I wouldn't mind seeing the FA J 18-35mm, they seem to be quite sought after as the only two I can find on ebay are pretty expensive. I realise that my kit lens covers the same focal length, but the FA J is a full frame lens and will work on film, so I could use it on my P30 or A3.
