K-m date problem

Just wondering if I've missed something out here!

I'm trying to print ten photos per month with my Polaroid PoGo printer, these will go into a Moleskine album with the idea of making an album of 2010. For obvious reasons I'm keen to include the date on the photos, but I've hit a snag. Despite having set the camera to use the format dd/mm/yyyy the photos are ending up with the date in format yyyy/mm/dd! Is there another option that I need to adjust to make it change over?

Are you using Pictbridge?

Could it be that the printer only understands American date format?

I can't think of anything else that it could be - I've tried everything I can think of.
