Right, an update (after some chasing around):

The address is still correct, the problem is jobsworths at the Post Office. If you simply put a 1st class stamp on (as you always used to) then despite the item being under the weight limit and able to fit through a letterbox it will be summarily rejected and lost to the depths of the postal system (I can't bring myself to call it a service!) because it's more than 5mm thick. You need to use 1st class packet post instead - £1.30 to send a roll today!

I shall wait to see whether this one reappears before using any more.

I keep seeing truly dire grammar and spelling in ebay listings, and I have to say that if it's a fairly new item I get suspicious. If it contains an expensive piece of kit and looks like it was written by a monosyllabic hoody...

It really isn't hard. I accept that some people have trouble with spelling but there are free spellcheck facilities available. If you use Firefox it has a plugin to check spelling as you type, although mine seems to be stuck on American rather than proper English. If you're asking people to buy something from you the least you can do is to spell the listing properly!

Well I did spend three years studying vaguely related stuff! Mind you, if you want real accuracy it has to be George Smiley. The rest of the fictional spies would be far too obvious to pass unnoticed as "grey men".

I've become slightly addicted to ITV4's repeats of The Professionals, The Champions, Randall and Hopkirk, and The Prisoner. All had left the screen before I was born so I never got to see them the first time around.

I'm actually thinking The Professionals is more accurate than Spooks...

I use Ilfotec HC, mix up the quantities needed in conical flasks as required and therefore it keeps well in neat form.

As I'm using an Agfa Rondinax tank I only need 200ml of each chemical at a time, so keeping large volumes of them made up won't work.

My Dad once found a pair of live 230v wires which had been twisted together and "insulated" with a ballpoint pen cap. As you might expect this meant the power being turned off on that circuit for an hour or so until he managed to source and fit a proper junction box!

This was of course in the days when you were still allowed to do your own wiring (circa 1994 at a guess)...

What about the f8 version by the same manufacturer (also sold as Samyang IIRC?) Presumably this has better DOF?

"Telephoto" just refers to a longer lens - generally anything over 50mm is a telephoto while anything under that is wide angle. 85mm for example would be considered a short telephoto.

The field of view of that 43mm Ltd when fitted to a DSLR would be similar to that of a 65mm lens on film. Most people seem to want around the 50mm/55mm mark as a portrait lens on digital, although it depends on the portrait you want.
