I believe that most of the members have 2 or more lenes, then what's your second and third one? My first lens is the kit lens and the second is the 50mm. Still want to find the third one for travel.

Hey guys, what's about the weight bearing of the tripod. Any important thing to keep in mind? How much would be enough?

So soon after the previous one John? Can they not be merged?

What about the original post being marked as helpful? I thought only the OP could mark a post as helpful - there is nothing in the original post that can be considered as such.
I didn't notice that I marked my post as helpful. I have unmarked it. Sorry for your puzzling.

I have 2 Velbon Sherpas with PH-157Q plus 4 quick release shoes for changing between cameras, lenses, video and telescope.

I wanted the quick release plus a good height for using the telescope. Both have been reliable. The latest gets down much lower but has more plastic bits in it.
It seems that there are a lot reliable tripod brands.

I'm still using the Velbon I bought in 1976 although it has a had a Manfrotto head for the past twenty years. As Smeggypants says a good one should outlast you
Wow, your Velbon is elder than me.

I use a manfrotto. Paid about £60 for it second hand 5 years ago. Unless it dies in a fatal tripod accident I doubt I'll never need to replace it. :

Benbo cos I like wrestling octopusses and an ancient heavy duty Slik video tripod. If you're buying new I'd recommend Redsnapper, good quality kit that isn't too expensive. If they are still out of your budget I'd wait and save a bit more till you can afford one.
Thanks, I will have a look at the Redsnapper products.

When about 14 my brother gave me an old M42 thread Praktika with a Helios lens, he later gave me an M42 F1.4 50mm Pentax Takumar. I realised the quality of the lens and have stuck with Pentax since.

That 50mm was one of the best lens I've ever owned. Used with Kodakchrome 64 it captured amazing amounts of detail.

Unfortunately he later took it back!
Great brother. Other family members of mine has no photography experiences. If they, I may get into photography ealier.

Pentax was a name I just remembered from a child so when I decided to buy a DSLR i looked at the various models and brands I could afford. The Pentax K10 was weather sealed and just seemed to provided a lot in relation to the cost. when i upgraded to the K7 I was hooked on Pentax and have been ever since.

I now use a K3 which is a superb camera., yes i would like the option of full frame, but I am not really in a hurry and would rather have a Pentax full frame camera than any other brand. There is just something very special about Pentax and I certainly could not explain what it is.
Vert interesting reason.

Looking for a reliable tripod for daily use (portrait, product, and landscape mostly). I know Manfrotto is great but it exceeds my budget. What's brand is your current one? I'm considering about the Beike ones. Any words would be appreciated.
