If I remember rightly I bought a Canon fit and works fine, theses flashes are manual only so don't need the pins for P-TTL
Best regards
Chris

Thanks Chris, shame that, I need the off camera capability for multi-strobe lighting for high speed water drop shots, I'll keep my eye out. Have a great weekend, Andy
Hello Andy, other people will probably advise better than me but even with off camera flash cables these flashes are probably not the best tools for the job for water drops unless you have a fairly sophisticated timing system set up, i've found that refresh rate is too slow. The Yongnuo manual flashes such as YN560 (I have a 462) are better suited with some wireless triggers, and it doesn't break the bank. Of course you lose P-TTL but your not shooting a wedding and you can control the lighting in this type of situation so setting the flash manually isn't a problem, a bit of trial and error and you can get something useable.
Best regards
Chris

Hi Chris, I may be interested in the flash, will this work as a wireless slave on a K-5, I know there are 2 models one which does and the other doesn't?
Hello, this is the non-wireless version of the flash, for wireless functionality model is SUPER rather than ST. I hope this helps in your search.

I'm looking to put the money to a DA 40mm f2.8 or Sigma EX 30mm 1.4mm, maybe Tamron 17-50 f2.8 if anyone is looking to part with any of these lenses be grateful if you can let me know.

Ahoy!

Does anyone have any hands-on experience with this lens who would be prepared to impart their unbiased findings and opinions here?

I ask because I've been offered one, and whilst reviews can tell you many things, there's nothing like first hand owner feedback. Also, what is a fair GBP £ price for a minty example?

TIA.
Hello, I have this lens, I'm no technical expert, but I do like the lens very much, build quality is fantastic as all the DA* lenses are, but this does make the lens quite heavy. I guess it depends what you shoot as with all lenses as to whether it is a must have, for someone using a 70-200 always at the long end I think this is a good step up, I think £450 is a pretty good price for a minty one. I wouldn't swap my sigma 150-500 for one though, and they'll be those that say the Da 300* is the way to go, if you always want the subject closer there are other, arguably better, options out there.

Are we sure you can't attach filters to the Sigma 8-16mm?

I only have the 10-20mm but SRS are indicating that the 8-16mm can take 72mm filters and offer a bundle with a Kenko UV filter here.

Glyn
The filter screws onto the lens hood which can be left on the lens, but there is a lot of vignetting at the wide end. There is a large amount of curve on the front element which makes fitting a filter direct to the front on the lens impossible.
