Excellent. Makes me wonder why I bothered to get a proper macro.

but I dont use flash that often so it will do for me. One other point all us K10D owners are at the moment as the price has dropped by £200/£300 pounds
Thats technology. No doubt your samsung flash will be £40 cheaper in another 12 months
But between the Pentax and Samsung 540s it's about £140. A big difference if you want the extra power (which I do) and the swivel (which I do). Particularly if you factor in the extra bits (bracket, wires) needed for having it off the shoe.
If anyone knows anywhere stocking the Samsung one at a price similar to Amazon's £181 (including delivery, no less), please let me know.

But I will take great delight when I buy the Samsung 540 equivalent for only a little more than that, and discover (hopefully !!!!) that it's perfectly compatible, and an exact AF540FGZ clone.
But it's at Amazon:

www.bristolcameras.co.uk have it, www.SRSmicrosystems.co.uk at Watford too.
Maybe try Amazon.
Don't know about next day, and you're pushing it a bit to get it for as little as £150.

Chris I need one quite quick so was looking for quick best advise as I trust you guys
If the wedding is next week, and you need something auto that's guaranteed to work with the K10D, there's simply no alternative to either the Pentax AF360 FGZ or AF540 FGZ P-TTL guns that Matt mentioned.
We've had endless discussions about the Sigma, and now the Samsung equivalents, all of which are probably compatible.
But 'probably' probably isn't good enough.
If you want it right, and you want it quick, you can't also get it cheap.
Edit: and you'd better decide soon, get the thing, and be sure you know how to use it in time

Metz 44 AF-3 TTL Shoe Mount Flash for Pentax
So with that gun it's auto using the gun's sensor, if it has one, or manual.
This kind of thing has been covered before. Personally I think it's asking a bit much of people's helpfulness to ask basic questions without at least looking things up yourself and at least trying to work it out.

Do you really need anything other than aperture priority, even for this?
Comment by ChrisA posted on Program Line at 06/07/2007 - 00:39
However, the difference could be a program that keeps the shutter speed as high as possible, for sport and action shots. Or one that keeps the aperture small, for maximum DOF.

I am quite taken a back by many of the questions regarding the pro capacity of the K10D. There have been the doubting Thomas's that ask.."Is there a Pro Pentax?" or why doesn't Pentax make a pro camera etc etc etc. The answer is this. The K10D is the Nikon D200 of Pentax. It compares favorably with all of the top end dslr's on the market. So why these insecurities? I think it has more to do with the perceived value of the camera. If it sold for 1500€, the public perception would be the contrary. Perhaps Pentax should re-consider their pricing just to satisfy those who perceive value solely by the price tag.
I also know nothing about http://www.trustedreviews.com, but I thought it was quite interesting that in their review of the D200, they say this:
There is a degree of colour and image processing control available onboard, but for a camera in this class it is surprisingly restricted. The default JPEG setting is very soft, while the pre-set vivid and more-vivid setting are over-sharpened, over saturated and rather harsh. There is a custom setting available, but again the available options are quite restricted.
