I am posting this again - just in case anyone who knows the answer missed my last post.

I am after a remote for the pentax k-x that operates the video function. There are a range of third party remotes and the pentax remote out there. I'm sure most if not all operate the shutter for stills but do any of them operate the video start/stop?

I use a remote control that came with a Sony camcorder to activate the shutter on my K-x. This works fine with stills but does not work with video. Can anyone recommend a remote that definitely works with video on the k-x?

Do you need to have some sort of viewing scope like the one that comes with the jessops kit as well? or do you make do without?

I have a bit of dust on my sensor of my K-x( I think ) and need to get my first sensor cleaning kit. However I am not sure which is the best option. Seems to be a lot of different opinions out there.

Latest update. Still having problems. I took some video clips of my daughter horse riding. Found it very difficult to focus. She was riding towards me - walking pace. With the shallow depth of field she quickly went out of focus. The worse thing was the camera shake at 200mm it was terrible!

Still finding the tiny screen makes it difficult to focus. The Delkin pop-up shade makes it easier to see, but I can only really focus by clicking the info button to set up the shot, and then once I start filming there is not opportunity to zoom.

I'm not giving up yet! Next time I'm in this situation, I'll either use the smaller 18-55 lens rather than the 50-200 zoom, or mount the camera on a tripod. I will try manual focus as the autofocus is too indecisive!

Anyone finding the K-x OK for video? Any tips?

I tried all combinations you suggested - apart from the copying board which I'm sure would be the business.

Strangely I ended up with the best results by hand-holding the camera and putting the photos by the front door with it open and some natural light coming in. Whereas all the outdoor ones either came out underexposed or grainy both in shade and without - all taken from a tripod and timer. Even my best results seem pretty low resolution compared to the original prints.

Regarding copyright, good point. These photos were taken 19 years ago and the photographer business is no longer in existance. If it was I would offer to pay for a CD of the photos.

Whats the best way to take photos of photos? My old wedding photos are mounted in their album and too big to fit on my flatbed scanner, so I plan to photograph them instead - so I can add them to my electronic collection.

Whats the best way to do this:
- Outdoors in daylight?
- on a grey overcast day or sunny day
- how do I avoid reflections or shadows of me taking the photo?
- what focal length?
- looking down at photo on the floor or facing photo on a stand?

Good suggestion. I'll give it a go - although two of my video clips were taken in bright daylight and they had the blue tint.
