Pretty poor! I tried making one out of a film canister but it kept popping off! Think it might need modifying slightly!

Anyone use it to get good results? Every time i've tried, it's just harsh, flat and horrible! Any tips or examples?

No A marking on the aperture ring, just 2 - 22.

The black frames are pretty sharp now.

Being on M does seem to affect the DoF though - previously I was shooting on Auto with this lens, and the aperture dial wasn't making much difference, though I don't see how this makes much sense!

It's set up so that all the icons and AF lights appear sharp.

It's manual, so i'm turning the manual focus ring!

Things appear sharp in the viewfinder but they're quite soft when viewed in full.

Does the camera control the aperture automatically, even if it's an old film lens?

I'm having trouble focussing my K100D (not K100D super), using 50mm Asahi f2 lens I got off eBay. Any tips?

The aperture dial doesn't seem to be having much effect on shots either, though the diaphragm is moving.

Thanks!

In my experience of Photomatix, it seems pretty good - much easier than CS3 for producing HDR images, especially with tone mapping. There's a trial you can download at http://www.hdrsoft.com/ .

This month's Digital Camera magazine has a good tutorial for doing HDR in Photoshop, too (although not sure it'd work with Elements).

Love the lighting and the vibrant colours in 4.

Even cheaper remote...

Took about 30 mins fiddling around with but worked for me. They still had the exact same remotes a few months back. And £2 - can't go wrong!
