Beeb apologised for breakdown in sound quality - breaks in sound only for a split second but enough to disrupt the ear though.

Trying to listen to Last Night of the Proms - after all these years and zillions spent on tech the Beeb stuff up the sound.

DA*300 excellent lens and well worth the spend. Had it on a most of the DSLR`s and always performed very well especially in low light late evening shots. For the extra reach I find that the Sigma 150 - 500 produces a very acceptable result but not the fastest to focus. I have a 1.4 Kenko TC which works the AF on the 300 but it does lose a little IQ.

Reason no.2. Protection for the front element! I inadvertantly dropped a K30 with a brand new 18 - 270. The lens hood took the impact, cracked and sprung away but the lens and camera are fine. Without the hood the railway ballast sized stones would have had a negative effect on the front glass. Superglue and an elastic band and the hood is fine.
