I've had it a year, though going back through some of my photos, I have noticed that the problem has been there since at least Christmas.
Is this an inherent fault and I've just failed to notice it sooner?

Thanks for the advice - do you happen to know if this is something that is repairable, or should I go out and out for a replacement/refund?

Hi all,
I have a Samsung GX20 and have recently noticed that some of the shots taken at ISO 1600 have a faint blue band at the top and bottom of the frame. It's only noticeable in darker shots, where the band is visible as it passes over mid-tones but it runs right across the frame, top and bottom. I've gone through some of my older shots and it does appear in shots taken at ISO 1250 but it has only recently got so bad that it is noticeable without specifically looking for it. To give you an idea - If I was using a film camera, I would swear it was a light leak.
Anyone any ideas?
The camera's still in warranty; should I return it as faulty? Has anyone else suffered this problem?
Cheers
Chris

Sorry you've lost me there - aren't they all the same in GX20s and K20Ds?
I've sent the camera back to the retailer today - just have to see what they suggest as a fix. Having said that, given the option, I don't know whether to get it replaced with another GX20 or, bearing in mind the suggestion that a good number of GX20s/K20Ds suffer the same problem, go for something else entirely as I'm not too tied into any system yet?
Thing is, what to go for; I've been a bit spoilt by the bang-for-your-buck that Samsung/Pentax give you and I don't think there's anything out there for the same money (c£650), that comes close?
Suggestions/advice welcomed!
Chris
