Can anyone recommend a lab that produces good hi-meg scans of 6x7 colour (velvia) slides?

Thanks John - that normally does it, but it can get complicated with a cable release in one hand and you are manually focussing with the other....

Super-glueing the d***** birds to the branch might be another option )

Agreed - I have a Seagull Angle Finder - works on the same principle - and the tolerences are tolerable, but not brilliant.

Part of the issue is of course that SLRs were never designed for people with noses when the sun is in the 'the wrong place' - you need a decent cup or an angle finder to sut the light out to see what you are looking at...

Boz did a survey (see link) on 'top Pentax bodies.
I have an ME Super and an MZ5n, both of which I would not part with.

Hi- I'm looking for one of these - the pear-shaped bowl-type. There is a supplier on Ebay, but it looks like a fiddly two part job (see link below). But is there an 'official' Pentax item, or alternative source?

No wasn;t getting you wrong at all - genuinely curious myself.

The only spiel on the new new 645D is
-Extra-large, super-high-megapixel CCD image sensor with more than 30.0 total megapixels (tentative)
- Compatibility with existing smc PENTAX 645 interchangeable lenses

Mamiya ZD "SLR" is 22meg, 1.5kg, £8k, and has a mind numbing 1.5fps (so it's quality not speed.....)

Would I want one? Hmm... maybe... if I was forced to.....

Not sure, but why do people buy Hassleblads (£20k) and Mamiyas (£7k)? Could it be quality? Longevity? Interchangability?
Is this a way to go for the Pro market without following a 'me-to' DSLR approach?
For some reason Andy Rouse starting using his 645 film camera again alongside his Canon DSLR kit.....
Who knows?

I suspect they would be aiming this at the lower-Hasselblad bracket (the ones who need a house as well as a camera) rather than the CaNikon machinegunning reportage guys

Hi All - still don't have a definitve answer on this, but am willing to give it a try and buy the adaptor (and share), IF someone can tell me how the rubber ring thingy comes off the eyepiece of the 67 metered prism. Can't find an instruction manual for it; it may unscrew, but this may just be a diopter adjustment. Can't afford to break it
