Thanks for the info George, but due to my arachnophobia, I won't be taking any spider pictures

Managed to track down a set of Pentax bellows for the LX - probably the last 'useful' accessory I'll need .

Just a couple of questions:

How are bellows best employed? What lens works best with them? - I have a 50mm and a 28mm (I'm guessing the 500mm mirror and the 28-200mm zoom won't be suitable ). Should the lens be reversed or the "right" way round?

Advice please

Barry,

We've had our fun with you over this.

Congratulations on your purchase. It's clearly something you've wanted for a while, and I'm glad you've finally got it.

Just don't jump ship and go over to the dark side (other forum).

I'd be interested in any comparisons between the two - each being in the top ends of their respective breeds.

Cheers!
Thanks Mac.

I will try and give some feedback on comparisons between the two. The LX is, and will always be, my main camera - after all it's the one I've spent a lot of cash on, but I thought it would be interesting to have a go on an "LX-wannabe" like the F3

it's not our place to forgive you, you should be sucking up to your LX, it's her you have wronged!
It's OK, I have taken her to one side and explained that I still love her and that she will always be my number one, it's just that sometimes you need to see if you're missing anything on the other side of the fence

Come back in a year and tell us how many pictures you took with it.

I must admit I haven't exactly been over-using the LX recently, but now the summer is apon us - the season of holidays, days out, air shows and car meets. Hopefully both cameras will get to see some action.

Your shots are out-of-focus and have a blue tinge.

Did you take them with your Cannon :
No, crappy phone camera.

And anyway, be careful - I just about got away with mentioning N***n on this forum, I think mentioning C***n might be pushing it a bit

I can't work out if that's a "well done" or a "how dare you"

...I only popped into the local camera shop to get a battery for the LX, but the cunning swines that they are had lots of shiny stuff in the window. One thing in particular caught my eye - something I'd admired and lusted after for some time.

One of these:

I know, I know, but I couldn't help myself. After some jovial haggling, the nice man knocked it down from £375 to £350 and threw in a 12 pack of AAs and a roll of film.

Please forgive me for taking a mistress

But they do look good together:
