Awww, what a sad tale. I feel SO sorry for the queen, pregnant all the time and then all her kittens dying, poor girl....

I feel it would be essential to try again with a cat trap to catch her and get her spayed - not an easy task i know! Also, have you tried the local RSPCA? They offer neutering and spaying at a greatly reduced cost... If you manage it then she'll need a good few hours in a quiet, safe environment to recover, with water and a litter tray, before you let her go again. And please do keep feeding her - you may find she is a little more approachable once spayed....

Can I ask, what was the little kitten doing out, to be found dead on your drive?

I would agree with my husband (Aliengrove), if you want to keep the kittens then they need to be kept inside and not have contact with their Mum, as this would probably be a backward step.

It so nice to hear that you and your wife a caring souls, please bring your latest batch into your home, keep them safe and, most of all, enjoy them!!!!

As my husband said earlier, our 3 ferals have settled in so well, they are very bright, happy, bring us enormous joy, and, somehow along the line, i think they realise that they have been lucky to find us!!!

Thank you so much for judging my 'Friendly Face' photo, even though I submitted it too late. We are currently 2 hours ahead of UK here in Qatar but that isn't my excuse, I actually thought the comp ended at midnight, same as the weekly one, so my error entirely for not reading the rules properly!

I'm totally thrilled though to get such a good score - I even beat my husband!! I see faces in absolutely everything, all the time, so it was an easy subject for me. Jon tends to think i'm bonkers though! As with you, my husband bought me a K-m for my last birthday, the best gift ever, and he's really pleased that i'm 'getting into it'

I spotted this 'friendly face' when driving out of our local sports center. The security guard was rather unsure what to do when I came back to take a few shots, however he seemed happier when I said 'looks like a face don't you think?' I think I got away with it!!

Hello everybody, my husband is on the site already (aliengrove) and I thought I would join up too!

I am very new to photography but really enjoying it. Jon bought me a DSLR for my birthday last October (Pentax K-m twin lens kit), in the vain hope that I would like it and therefore no longer complain about him spending all his time on photography... Guess what? It worked!!!
