Oh and you get a good photo organiser too.
Is that Lightroom?

Do you have an original file from the camera still saved ... On your computer or on the SD Card ...?
No I haven’t got the original

Can you not buy an older version of Photoshop Elements (maybe version 9) . It doesn't require a powerful computer, or a 64 bit processor.
I could do. What things does it do please?

Do you use Lightroom or Photoshop?
No that’s the problem. My PC isn’t strong enough to take it. When I upgrade to 64 bit then I will get it, lack of funds at the mo.

I hope you get lots of offers for this - but if you don't, you can PM me for my e-mail address, and I will do it either tonight or tomorrow.
So, you do have some options.
Thanks that’s very kind of you. I’m worried they will refuse and give it to another more professional photographer which will be really disappointing.

Can I just check why you can't just send the original file? Typically they want the best they can get, especially if it's going to be printed.

I guess it’s compressed and small which is what Picture monkey does when I edit photos on there.

By 'original', do you mean a camera JPEG unedited or resized?
Camera Jpeg resized by picture monkey, usually without telling anyone.

Maybe the compression is not too much and you can re-create a new version at 300dpi.
Love to but unsure how to do this.

when you are under pressure is not a good time to try something new
Another thing to add to my long list of disappointments, no wonder I suffer mental health issue’s.

I would take up any offers from members here to carry out the resizing for you.
I will ask Dr Geoff, how do I send a private message please?

right-click the file in Windows Explorer, choose Properties, then click on the 'details' tab .... a little bit down you will see the figures for size and resolution.
Here goes:

Dimensions - 399x600
Width - 399 pixels
Height - 600pixles
Horizontal and vertical - 300 dpi
Bit depth 24

Hi I am in a bit of a delemma at the moment. One of my photo's which I titled heaven has been chosen by the London photo gallery to exhibit.

They want me to send the image at 300 dpi high res JPEG (2-3 MB).

The thing is I don't know how to make it 300 dpi as I did it in a programme called Picture monkey which compressed it a bit.

Please can you tell me how I can get the resolution to 300 dpi? I am thrilled it has been chosen, but I am now worried i am going to miss out as per usuel becauseof my stupid lack of knowledge.

I have to get it to them by the 18th of October.

Can you advise me please?

I've a birthday coming up and I would like one of two books. The first one is:

Photography: The Definitive Visual History - Tom Ang

Masters of Photography - Reuel Golden

Can you tell me which would be the better one. Each book is suppossed to tell you all the photographic greats from Fox Talbot to today. If not please can you recommend a book for my expertease that would teach me about the history of photography without being too boring, and the greats like Ansel Adams, David Bailey, Francis frith etc?
