A colleague of mine will shortly be visting America for a couple of weeks.
Can anyone based in America tell me if it is worth asking him to buy a genuine Pentax DL-150 battery for my K10D ?
At £49 in the UK, they seem a ridiculous price, but they might be just $49 across the pond.
A search on Google has not revealed much about American prices.
I have one of each, they're both fine.

Full sunlight on medium gray rock means that the "sunny 16" rule applies. If you set the lens to f/16, use a shutter speed that's the inverse of your ISO. (i.e. at ISO 100, shoot at 1/100 second at f/16, or an equivalent combination).
Since it's always sunny on the Moon (barring eclipses) you probably don't even need a meter. I didn't when I used film, but I haven't taken any moon shots since then.

At f/5.6, it's clear as a bell. By f/8, you need to pay attention. At f/11, it's kind of dodgy.

I was actually at the place where they make the screens, and we took a number of different cameras, and sometimes the autofocus coincided with the manual focus, and sometimes not. Even on the same camera. All the manual focus shots were correct.

Does any one have any idea what would happen if one tried to apply the K10d firmware to the Samsung? Does the new firmware patch the old or replace it?

Be very wary of the Pentax A 70-200 - it is not SMC and was sold in the mid-80's when Pentax decided they needed a dirt-cheap tele zoom, so rebranded the old Takuma.

The one I have must be the 70-200. I just know I had to avoid the non-SMC version.
