Wow.. that was fast!
Cant access desktop with old software so cannot copy it. Not sure what the software file was called and assume it was just called Pentax Photolab. Im using FastStone at the moment which gives good results, I think, but would like to compare it with Pentax own version.
Thanks for the fast response
Regards Andy

Lost my CD for software. Been on web and downloaded PENTAX_Raw_Codec 11.50.0 exe 7.68 MB (8,060,048 bytes)file in the hope it was the 'Lab'. doesn't seem to do anything. I did have the program on my desktop but would like it on my laptop.
Is it still available, which is the correct software and if it not now available, are there any free programs that can do the job?
Sorry for the tall order.
Thanking you in advance
Andy

Need some help. I'm running XP on my laptop and like thousands of others, have loaded and edited photos on it. I am doinfg an update of the pc and want to gather all my pictures to save to an external HD.
What I didnt do in the past was put them into folders etc.. so when I do a search for photos I get all my photos plus all the other pics that are used for advertising plus loads of pre installed screensaver pics banners, and just about everything that looks like a picture as well. Total so far is about 94000 images!
Anyone know how to filter this down, as I've tried .jpeg etc but no joy. Anyone know of any free software?
Thanks in advance
Andy

What a welcome !! I hope everyone who replied to my first post recieves my thanks for their friendly replies. I did register with some other photo club some months back, got one reply saying try the colleges, as if I hadnt thought of that.
I'm comforted by the fact there are others out there in my situation and that there are groups and individuals such as you who are willing to offer your help and expertise. Maybe one day soon I'll have gained enough to also pass on.
Thank you again and I look forward to a long relationship.
You've already got one member... ME!

Hope I've done this right? I was looking for the 'post reply' tag at the bottom.
Thank you for the info and I look forward to this site.

Last year I finally purchaced my K10. What a camera!
Only problem is, I'm in need of some one toone or group tuition. I've read the books and seen the film but i would greatly appreciate some help on going to manual mode settings. I've experimented but get a bit frustrated when light changes etc.. turn this and press that and HOPE!
Does anyone know of classes or tuition in the Devon area? I live nr Exmouth but searching the net has been next to useless. I'm more than willing to pay for tuition if anyone can help. There's a lot of pictures out there just waiting to get on my SD card.
Thanking you in advance
Andy
