I bought my DS back in 2004 whilst on a holiday in Florida. Just an extra camera body in my luggage when I came back home. Six months later, Pentax in Slough repaired it under warranty.

I want to see how well the HDR facility works. But unless I get an unexpected windfall I can't see myself buying one. My K10D takes better pictures than I do.

The whole point of HDR is to capture a much greater range of exposures than is possible on a single image, and you can only properly do this with several shots.
If you use a single image and push the EV up you will also introduce more noise to the image. If you only have a single (RAW) image, Photmatix Pro can do a pseudo HDR image, but you are still better of working from several images. I use a 5 shot bracket at +/- 2 ev.

Hello, long time since I was around these parts However, I'm back (no groans please) with an ulterior motive. An Art-dealer friend and I are currently engaged in a hush-hush project to start a web business selling Fine Art prints and Limited Edition Photographs. Damn I've said too much already. Anyway were were wondering, has anyone here got any experience of Giclee prints? Are they really as good as they are cracked up to be and worth the premium?
