Beyond the name thats on the lens I can find very little, a 28 and a couple of 135s on ebay but I can find nothing else?

The reason is I found a 28-80 1:3.5-4.5 macro in a PK mount
note on it says "requires attention"
slight play on the focus barrel and a little sticky on the diaphragm lever, glass looks hazy in need of a clean.

Could become a paperweight but at £3 I think that is a bargain over strange coloured glass balls! and a good talking point.

Diaphragm lever had been nudged in its past and was just fouling on its slot, so no big deal there

It works and with a little experience and play could be a little more than a paper weight. can anyone share some history please

I would have advised against the Tamrom 70-300. mine tends to walk in the wrong direction slowly.
The 100-300 UC sigma I had before was better in AF even if with slower glass. The FA60-320 runs rings around them both

I look forward to seeing some great results from the 2.8

This has allowed me to fix my SMC A 35-70 f4.
I found part of the focus ring had broken inside (2x.5mm) and was jamming noticeable about the 55-60 mm range.
Cleaned it out, reassembled and aligned the infinity mark maybe a touch short and wow its back in business no jamming and ready to play

I have the Sigma and it lives on my istD I find it a prefect all rounder length even if it does get a bit heavy. There is a lot of glass out front, possible concerns of wear/play may cause problems. It responds very well and quick in AF.

I just got a DA18-55 as they are so cheep now (Park cameras) but I have found last week there is strong Vignette, certainly at the left corners even at F13. I ran a batch of frames to put together as a panarama only to find the sky colours so variable that PS could not put it together but that may be another topic

I contacted the shop played at being a new customer owning a MZ7 they happily repeated the story and tested it on a MZ50 strangely it failed to read.
(not just digitals then)
Reduced the price to under £80 (from £119)

Slough charges £30 for a minor repair ---- could be lucky
I would check the connections internally first --- could be luckier?

I'm sure I've be fed some waffle yesterday?
I made an enquiry regarding an 80-320 to a shop in Lewisham,
Was asked what body to be used on?
IstD I replied, only to be told it will not work on the digitals. ???
I'm sure reading past posts from many of you it should, or at least there is no complaints. I can only find a referance about "A" position contacts but can't find the post.

I did try one early in the year that failed to read both Av and Tv. I did leave that in the shop.

I want a better **-300 zoom than the Tamron 70-300DI currently in my bag as the miss focus hunting is a nightmare

I have a 240Z that came with my A3, having tried it a couple of times with the istD, similarly I can report of overexposure, but in certain situations it did so on the A3. I rarly use flash and prefer natural light or as seen.
I think building skill and experiance using flash is slower coming as it's often less used, certainly in my case. Feb issue of digital camera has a feature on flash- bounce angles etc which has opened my eyes.
At the very least it is easy with the Ds to play with settings,- early veiw and no film costs save trying to reveiw/decode exposure notes from several days previous.
Fun is in the trying Joy is finding something spectacular.

An excellent fix and so simple.

I did something in the opposite direction, modified a tripod to accept a sky dish whilst camping, but guess who managed to lose the body screw?Later after getting back to real size cameras it was well gone.

As for mischief it's all about learning and saying sorry , vandalism however has neither qualities.

This is my first post so in opening many thanks for all the reports,comments and general chat regarding the istD+ cameras. It has very much influenced me to chase one with success.I am now a very impressed owner of a D be it only for a day. full expertise will take longer (much longer)
It is very different to handle than my A3 in fact worlds apart, I'm sure I will get used to fingernails scraping on the lens mount.
My first few pictures on a dismal grey day I was quite impressed with at **L jpeg in auto, really it was point and shoot, certainly the picture quallity was excellent over digital discs from ASDA etc.
BIG WOW.

I need to get a lense cap for the std lens as it was missing (how, why?)
Firmware to upgrade in time

My only real question at this time is that the display screens seem to shut down far to quick, touch the shutter button and all is back but it is often to quick to read let alone adjust,
I can live with it and it is not part of the camera auto off, is this common or have I missed somthing in the manual.
