Nice shot of a truly great aircraft. Top speed of about 1500mph, ceiling of about 70,000'...British aerospace engineering at its best given this was in the 1950s...performance of today's fighter aircraft at the extremes of their envelopes are only broadly similar...60 years on...unless you believe the rumours of the secret space fleet under the auspices of Solar Warden. :wink:

Al...nice one...I did wonder whether you'd managed to see it! Just lucky or a 'heads up'? I'm guessing that they will become a common sight eventually like the C130. From a video I saw online it appeared to fly higher and looked like it was overhead the lower slopes of CAD WEST rather than following the road proper? Not surprising if this was indeed the case given its large bulk. Happy Ne ...
