Young siskin

This bundle of fluff was happy to let me get quite close yesterday as he ate sunflower seeds.

Thank you, Velimir. No, it wasn't cold yesterday which is why I assumed he was just a young bird. He had a healthy appetite ! Yes, spring is nearly here and there is no snow in our region !

It is indeed a super photo of a charming subject, with particularly pretty background blur- was that taken with a DA*300? By the way, lucky you having signs of Spring- thick snow here today

We have the signs of Spring too and some snow on the top of the mountains. A very charming capture, Sally. Beautiful compo and blur of the lovely background.

Thank you, Duncan and Nezih.:
It was my ever-faithful DL 55-300 !
Only a few miles from here forsythias and hawthorns are flowering, but just the prunus here. Spring is very localised

Zut, la belle France
It really must have been a lovely Spring day, seeing that you managed such sharpness with the 55-300 at full stretch using a shutter speed of about 1/60th at ASA 200. I presume you were using a tripod, but I find it such a hassle carting mine about with me, even though it is carbon fibre and relatively light

beautifully captured, at first glance I thought that was it cold? Background tells you that in the spring! We still get shipments of snow!
