Yellow Triangle
by GIULIO57
First of all “sorry for this experiment”. The originals (tree on the upper right corner) are 3 different slide-chromes captured on Apr. 1986 (morning about 10,00 a.m). Camera is Pentax ME-Super on tripod. Lens is Pentax 135mm f 3.5 and 2x converter (total focal length is 270 mm). Film is Fujichrome 50 ASA. Fixed F: 16(Hyperfocal to manage a deep DOF from foreground to background). Shutter speed: 1/30-1/60-1/125 (Bracketing ). Manual exposure. Shutter release cable and mirror blocked up to avoid vibrations. In these 20 years I have never been satisfied of these photos. So I have used an Epson Perfection 3200 scanner to get 3 digital files from those 3 slides. Then I’ve used Photomatix and Photoshop 7. The FUSED-file I got (HDR) using Photomatix (blending) have been used in the right and reverse position so to match left and right sides of these “two”different pics. So doing I obtained a yellow triangle. In my humble opinion it was impossible to get this result using analogic devices and this geometry was in my mind till the moment I looked at this landscape more than 20 years ago. Place is Vaiano di Castiglione del Lago (Perugia).

I like the idea, but there is an obvious join in the yellow segment of the field which I find off-putting (I wonder if you can soften that join...I can think of how to do this in CS3 with a mask, but more difficult in Elements I am afraid....perhaps some careful cloning in the area). I would also suggest removing one of those trees as I think it will look less obvious then as to how you created it, resulting in a better overall effect.
I hope you dont mind my suggestions...

Thank for your comment. You're right. About the tree I thought to clone it...but I didn't. However I shall not forget your tips

Interesting picture, wonderful colours. But I don't like the perfect symmetry, because of it I have to agree with Stuart.

From the thumbnail it was obviously one of your productions Giulio. The symmetry doesn't bother me at all and it is the color that strikes me most - a case of admiring a well executed picture rather than a photograph.
Well done Giulio.
Well done Giulio.
Paul.
