Probably the last shot from this series that I will publish. Taken a while back now, I've only just edited this one. Self portrait taken with natural light through a large window.

I love a bit of humour GIULO57. Creating this series certainly involved a bit of acting. Such a job getting the best out of this crusty old model.

I've done it with a club competition in mind. I find images which have an instant impact tend to do quite well. It's a print competition, I'm hoping the print arrives in the post tomorrow to see how it looks.

A perfect demonstration of the Zone System. Alive with myriad greys, a la Ansel Adams at his very best. I'm positive the print will be a wowser. Like (of course).

Brilliant. That's a held back!
If it's not too late, DS are running another discount on their 'fine art prints', including the titanium.

I didn't think to look at the fine art options. I'll see how the standard print looks, I might just treat myself to another titanium print

Great shot Nigel. I can definitely see a hint of Jasper Carrot in the facial expression and around the eyes!

Oozing emotion - even if it was play acting, as you stated.

Once anyone is in front of a camera there is a little bit of playing the role that goes on. From the most basic "smile for the camera" onward to trying to depict other and deeper emotions within a portrait.

I wouldn't want to be in the middle of that argument!

I can report that having mounted the print and looking at it over a few days I'm happy with the standard print on Fuji lustre paper. I'll soon find out what the judge thinks
