Lovely photograph... but not a wren... it is a warbler... possibly a chiffchaff/willow warbler [look much the same until they sing] If, when you took the photo, it was singing more like a wren and not going Chiff-Chaff-Chiff-Chaff... then it is probably a willow warbler.

Thank you for the correction - I was a little unsure but size etc all pointed me towards a wren - every day is a school; day

A wren would surely have its tail up at a 45 degree angle. The one I saw this morning certainly had! Lovely shot!
