Water Needed

Shot at Kilistra, Gökyurt Village. Lystra is the ancient name of the village where Apostle Paul visited. The present name is "Klistra" which is near Gökyurt, a village of the Meram district of Konya.[2] There are ancient ruins such as a church with a big cross marked on the wall, a winery, house-like buildings and ruins of a city located over the top of a hill which is locally called "Alusumas" where another church ruin exists. According to locals, the hidden city was constructed over the hill to hide from enemies of ancient Anatolia. This site is still awaiting excavation.

You know that a village like this would have a presevration order slapped on in England, Nezih!
What a fine, moving shot. Makes me think of holidays to Spain where every drop of drinking water has to be carried by hand. Talk about not taking things for granted when we turn on a tap!

It was exactly what I was thinking of when shooting and preparing it to upload, Andrew.

Superb image, your pictures are so touching, i hope the snow goes soon in this part of Turkey, even though it looks so lovely.

Lovely detail Nezih, so well captured in this quality shot. The only thing that tells us this is modern times and not a scene from history is that the water is in big plastic bottles.

A really interesting view of village life in winter,Nezih. I like the sound of this place. I might check it out one day, with the Pentax User trip to lesser-known places in Turkey perhaps.
Best wishes,

Nice street shot, Nezih. I like the composition, the strong contrast and the nice textures of the walls and the snow.
