Violas,

The last of the violas in my plant pots, one of the first shots with new camera, tried to get the background blurred and the violas in focus, dont know if its worked I would appreciate it if you could let me know :

The lighting and contrast and colour is very good Trixie but there are focus issues because the foreground viloas are soft. You need to press the shutter release half way to auto focus, compose then take the shot.
Possibly a lower angle would have worked better and for a really blurred background a lower aperture setting. Are you using the kit lens?

HiJim, it was taken the first day I got new camera, so no must admit didnt use lens kit or a lower aperture setting, but thank you for the tips, I bought a note book to make helpful tips from everyone I did just snap away.

I have to agree with Jim. You should take more shot from different angles and using different settings.
