Very serene impression from this portrait and a very good start from you and the 645Z. Would it be possible to reduce the highlights across the face and down the right side?

Agree with Barrie. I don't think the gallery compression has done it any favors either. Preferred the Large image posted elsewhere

Ah interesting, thanks guys. I do have a dark version; this was lighted quite a bit to go for that porcelain look.
I don't like making skin unnaturally bright, but it seems popular and I was going for something to attract more work

Quality shot - sort of agree of what the guys above are saying but think this lighting brings out the models beauty quite well.

I don't mean a image darker, it's the white down the bridge of the nose, on the cheeks and down the right side

AH... even more interesting. I spent 120 quid on strip boxes, specifically to 'rim light'

Not bad for one of those cheap cameras...

Lovely expression and tones. I bet you could paper a bedroom wall with it. Perhaps a little too bright, but that's just me. She's an exceedingly comely girl.

Love it, i think the lighting helps make for a very striking image.
I know what i like, If not always why.
