Thank you. I was so impressed by Mother Nature that I actually didn't see the crane or pay any real attention to it till I uploaded the take. There is a black and white version which is most curious. Maybe I'll post it soon.

Amazing the tricks perception can play on you. I like the vignette - it adds considerably

Superbly composed and presented. I might like the B & W, but that orange globe surrounded by charcoals and blacks is stellar to me...oh and great crane addition and placement. My kind of pic!

I did not pay attention to the dangling element. There are always all sorts of ropes, hooks, pulleys, and other bits and pieces attached to cranes. Now that you have remarked on it, the picture seems rather macabre...
