Ant in Peony

by Mac

I always believed that ants were needed for peonies to open. Not so, but they love the nectar and are territorial.
Thus they chase away other insects which may harm these wonderful flowers.

Fun with SMC 50mm Macro

Vodka in the dew drops.

Actually, many shots - eventually one gets lucky.

Back in the film days, I often thought of shooting 35mm movies and frame-picking. Now we have burst mode and high capacity SD cards.

Thanks for the nice comment!

Only white so far, waiting for reds.

Exercise in patience.

Jolly Good shot and nice and sharp. I tried a similar one with a 100mm Macro and must have gone in too close, or shaken more than the anti-shake could cope with!

The ant is black and the rose white with some yellow shoadows, interesting anyway
