Long tailed tit

Photo Information
First time I've ever seen one here - and there were 2 pairs ! I couldn't believe my luck and grabbed with with the K3 and Sigma 70-200. A heavy crop so a bit noisy, but I was very happy !

Focus is spot on Sally, no complaints from me! We get quite a lot of these where I live but I never seem to have the camera when I see them!

Worked well and the bit of backlighting helps emphasise the fluffiness.

Thank you all vey much - it was such a lucky chance and almost shot from the hip ! They have a rather distinctive call, a sort of whistling soung. Such pretty birds, I wish I'd caught this one when he was puffed up. But if these two pairs stick around .... who knos !

Nice capture Sally. You even got a bit of catch light in the eye to set it off. I love to see these but they come and go so quickly getting a good shot can be tricky.

Goodness, thank you all so much ! I was so thrilled to see them - this particular one posed for me, turning round so that I could click away. It seemed surprisingly un-timid !
