Lovely shot! I am glad that the elusive aurora made an appearance and that you had clear skies. Minus 20 is really cold

Excellent image Paul, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Northern Lights, I shot them with my K20D, and it also performed fantastically well ...better than a lot of other cameras on my tour. I now have a K5 and I believe the noise would have been reduced in my pics.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. Will upload another one for you. It was so cold last night that when I breathed out, the moisture condensed in my eyelashes and froze my eyes shut
