Aurora Borealis vertically overhead

Photo Information
one of many shots from a 2 hour auroral display in the Abisko national park in Sweden. 180 shots at -20 and the K5 never missed a beat, handling the conditions considerably better than it's owner

Lovely shot! I am glad that the elusive aurora made an appearance and that you had clear skies. Minus 20 is really cold Hope to see more of your shots!

Best regards

Paul, that's spectacular.

Delighted you've obviously had such a good display on your trip. Looking forward to seeing more

That is without doubt one of the best aurora shots I've ever seen!

Excellent image Paul, I had the pleasure of experiencing the Northern Lights, I shot them with my K20D, and it also performed fantastically well ...better than a lot of other cameras on my tour. I now have a K5 and I believe the noise would have been reduced in my pics.
Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the feedback guys, much appreciated. Will upload another one for you. It was so cold last night that when I breathed out, the moisture condensed in my eyelashes and froze my eyes shut
