Tuscan Scape

On the right Mr. Brian(McBrian) of PUG and me on the left. Not a beautiful weather and photo but even in this difficult light it has been possible to perform several captures. I’m not a fan of ND filters…so to “pull out” sky I’ve used a different path. Duplicate background and change blend mode to multiply in the Background Copy Layer. It is a good trick to apply this effect in a soft and uniform way. You can modify amount of effect using opacity slider in the layers panel.To apply effect to sky only I’ve prepared a mask using colour channels(blue channel-Alpha channel)and then I converted channel into e selection using button(icon)at bottom of layers panel.Last I added a mask to layer of interest. This is another good and reliable trick to perform sharp masks without using brushes. To modify mask(feather, size..and so on) use sliders/options living in the mask’s panel.On the far left background between pine trees(skyline)live wineyards of Brunello of Montalcino.Place: between San Quirico d’Orcia and Torrenieri along motor road SS Cassia n°2-Tuscany-Italy. Country road we were on leads to lovely Castle of Cosona and village of Lucignano d’Asso passing through a small and well known area were in the past was played movie “The Patient English”…those frames were the main actor tells his story back to a nursey inside an old ruined church(stil exhists).
