Then he shrugged off the foreign object and wandered away to pee.

A very human-looking dog. And more friendly-looking than many of the fake dogs.

Not sure what a fake dog is, but in many respects, our dear Bogie had more humanity than some humans I've met. Of course, this comment is typical of dog lovers like my wife and I. Bogie lived 16-1/2 years and brightened our lives each and every one of those days. To meet him was to love him.

A human-looking dog is, perhaps, the opposite of a dog-looking human. Which one might — usually/often — be 'better'?
Personally, I like cats, though do admit that once out of kittenhood, cats are generally much less fun than dogs. But are less smelly and scratch the soil more...
But all this should be about photography, and your hound was obviously very pleasing.
Very attractive photo !

Bichon's are such friendly little dogs, one of my Chihuahua's lived to be 16 (not quite as friendly as a Bichon) sorry for your loss but it's a lovely picture

Lovely photo, looks like he was a very happy little dog, 16-1/2 was a very good age. Both our mutts are sound asleep in front of our gas 'fake' coal fire, ops Millie's just woken up but I suspect not for too long!
Yes they are such good fun...
Regards
Mike
