But how many recall them? We certainly had one and every few years someone (?!?) would empty it of decent coal and then (from the inside) shovel out all the dust and coal slack through the same hole it had entered by. It was astonishing how much there was (and how black you got doing it!).
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thanks Flan and i can remember davidwozhere..in the good old days ( yawn) you trusted the Coalmen, to pour the right amount of sacks, into the Hole and you didnt have to be in the house, when they delivered the coal. They would call back at night, to collect their money and they would be as ( black as Hell ) but always smiling and often stopped for a friendly chat...( the good-old days..Yawn ) ( Yawn !! )
