The Hunter

This beautiful Grass Snake was in our garden this afternoon, I think it is living in a pile of rocks underneath a large ivy. I got just one shot of it today as before I could take any more it disappeared under the rocks.

The snake was an adult, but not one of the largest I've seen, it was around 3 feet long.

That's a beautiful shot, David. Pin sharp and beautiful colours in both snake and leaves. Nice attitude with the snake looking to see what you're doing !

I've never seen a snake in its natural habitat in Europe!
