Lovely picture of a lovely city.
For me, the most interesting thing in this picture is the town gas scrubbing plant on the right. This identical design could be seen in countries all over Europe. The one nearest to me was in Coventry, where it remained for many years after the gas works was closed. Why there was no variation in design I have no idea.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

And would the three-masted ship in the foreground be the af Chapman, which now serves as a youth hostel? If so, she was built by the Whitehaven Shipbuilding Company, launched in 1888 and originally named the Dunboyne
