Stand Alone(Looking for a partner)
by GIULIO57
Another capture using a few colours only. I took this pic a few days ago…but this is not my first attempt “to it”! April 2007. I had Pentax LX and a few Kodak Ektachrome slidechromes with me. Those were my latest captures using analogic devices. I scanned a slide (the best IMHO) and I got a digital file (the small print that Shaun and his wife looked at when in Florence). I never uploaded it on PUG. I was waiting for a new digital test-capture. This year while travelling in this area I watched same situation as five years ago. Same tree, same colours, same hour, same weather, same season : this is a brief story of this photo. Camera on tripod. Pentax k20D and Pentax Zoom lens 55-300mm. I have used 5 different captures matched together using Photomatix 4. I’m sure that I’ll try again in next weeks….looking for best colours and light. Thanks for your comments. Place: Tuscany-Italy-Val d’Orcia.

I really like this image. One I could happily see on my wall. Make yourself a big print, possibly one of those ones printed on aluminium for a nice contemporary feel.

It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head. Henri Cartier-Bresson
Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.
