My first retirement day

Pentax K5 smc Pentax 1.8/55mm 200ISO 1/80
Lightroom 5 and Silver Efex Pro 2

Don't worry about me.
I created time to travel, make photographs and make paintings.
It doesn't feel like ending something but more like to start a new life.

Happy retirement. I can recommend it: it's very nice. Nobody tells you what to do (except your wife), and although you don't have to go to work any more, money appears in your bank account every month.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Retirement is boring some say - they usually still work because they have to or have little imagination - great light in your studio and the look on your face solves any worry of retirement angst. Continue to HAVE FUN! -- tg

Good luck on your retirement Rein. Nice selfie. How about flipping the shot over so we can read that Pentax logo!
Best wishes

Once you've become accustomed to living on a lot less money than before and working (!) under a stricter boss than before I suppose it's OK. The first thing that had to go for us was the travelling and that has been the hardest thing for me. However, the garden looks damned good!
I like your selfie Rein but I have the impression you didn't use the delayed shutter action which would have allowed you a more relaxed pose.
