This a very interesting photo, apart from the superb capture the subject seems to connect with the camera, Photographer and consequently the viewer.
I think it portrays a very unusual "moment of connection" with a very intelligent animal

Of course this is a rescued animal, as you know. I wanted to capture a picture that made the connection between us as visible as possible, an emotion maybe, something we, as humans, could empathise with.
