I find this clever on a number of levels. It's almost like a painting; of a painter; painting; in a photograph. It's a lovely picture. My wife, who is a craft artist, said that she thought it a great study, very 'painterly'.

Anyway, congratulations on POTW, one of the best I've seen.

A worthy winner - the subject, lighting, colours, framing and creative use of depth-of-field combine to produce a captivating and charming image that rewards patient scrutiny.
